The Constitution and Business

Article 1, Section 8, Paragraph 3 The Congress has the power to: "Regulate commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian Tribes."

All though the US Code better specifies the parameters in which said business is conducted, as Senator I will be completely engaged and would like to share five avenues in which I will be utilizing my seat in the North Wing to help Oklahoma business:

1. Fostering relations with Azerbaijan: using established military relations to facilitate trade in a high risk area.
2. Strengthening Latin American Trade: I do not believe Oklahomans are aware of our business opportunities with our South American neighbors and I advocate nuturing a relationship with Peru.
3. Ireland offers Oklahoma an opportunity to network with the largest, often financial and tech companies, and make exclusive deals with industry leaders.
4. Japan offers world class supply chain services into the Asian markets and strengthening this relationship gives My constituents access to untapped markets for fair rates.
5. Nearly six hundred federally recognized tribes with access to land and capital. These deals require understanding of indigenous beliefs and cultural identities to be successful.

There is a lot of good opportunities for Oklahoma business to expand into new markets and we have friends around the world eager to see our state continue this momentum.

I am quoted as saying that Oklahoma is the best state and I say this not just out of passion, but from an objective view of our state's supply chain capabilities, our natural resources, sparse population, and unparalleled human capital. Our only dilemma has been correctly collaborating our needs and identifying a single direction for the entire state to focus its efforts. We are a state of roughly 4 million, we have some of the cleanest and highest quality natural resources, and we have opportunity; opportunity to create a brand backed by quality for Oklahoma goods and introduced into new markets around the world.
